Meet Scott & Ayame
Army Ranger with a bold mission!
Our mission is to Pivot girls entangled in sex-trafficking and prostitution towards freedom!
We lead front line ops into bars and brothels to meet and minister to girls right where they are at; a life of dark, lonely servitude. We provide options for them in whatever stage they are in currently, providing freedom by working jointly with reputable and committed partners in our areas of operation. Pivot teams manage the safe houses and run the operations but our local partners often provide the intel and sometimes also the leads of girls needing help.
From friendship with our team members in bar ministries, to safe houses where they finally break free, to long-term residential communities committed to their recovery and success, we exist to help these girls pursue thriving lives of meaning and purpose.
Pivot’s bold and strategic approach is achieving meaningful impact and freedom for many girls, and bringing true freedom to many more is our desire and motivation.
Thank you for partnering in this vital work and for expanding our reach to the most vulnerable.
With Purpose,

THE NAME
WHY PIVOT?
We chose the word “Pivot” to describe this ministry because of the connotation of helping folks make radical changes with the end goal of turning towards Christ. Our passion is to help women pivot from the human trafficking industry and find a new job and freedom in Christ. Likewise, we desire to help the men pivot from the bondage of sexual addiction and abuse.
- Scott and Ayame moved their family overseas from 2019 through 2021. While living in Hong Kong, they worked with several other anti-trafficking groups to learn the ropes of how this unique ministry works.
- In 2022, Pivot-Faith & Valor was founded and officially became a recognized non-profit.
- The current international focus is to develop Pivot Houses in South and Central America.
- The domestic targets for Pivot Houses are the following; Tampa, Austin and Missouri.

STRATEGY
THE PIVOT
APPROACH
STEP ONE
Male Teams rent “bar girls” and bring them to female teams in secure locations.
STEP TWO
Teams feed girls and offer a couple of hours of “freedom” before having to return to bars and brothels.
STEP THREE
Female teams share faith and explain the details of safehouse opportunities.
Three Different Types of
Anti-Human Trafficking
Raising Awareness and/or Supporting Front Line Groups: Most anti-human trafficking NGOs and groups fall into this category. They host conferences, which help to increase global awareness regarding the human- trafficking issue. Many of these groups also help to financially support front-line groups trying to actively rescue girls.
Hard Rescue Approach: This necessitates working with local police and government organizations conducting raids to arrest perpetrators. Pivot team members now occasionally work with US based police departments to help with their raids on massage parlors. This is the primary way to disrupt the growing online child sex industry and to rescue underage girls.
Soft Rescue Approach: This is the primary approach and strategy for Pivot today. This involves creatively finding ways to access and befriend the girls in the bars and brothels, acquire time with the girls inviting them to Pivot Towards Freedom!
FAQS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What does the Pivot logo mean?
There are three main components within the Pivot logo. The first is a cross because we are a faith based Christian organization and believe the true freedom is ultimately found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. The second is an arrow because we strive to help pivot girls in a completely different direction once they have been reached by Pivot staff. The third component is a sword because Pivot was founded by military veterans and also because a sword symbolically refers to the Word of God (Eph 6:17).
What do we mean by the word "Freedom" used in our mission statement?
1) Freedom in Christ
2) Freedom from sex-traffickers and prostitution
3) Freedom with a new job and trajectory in life
What is a "Pivot House"?
A Pivot House is a safe location for girls who are reached and desire to enter our Pivot program. The specific locations are kept secret for security reasons. Girls in our Pivot Houses will have access to professional counselors, mentors, Bible studies, medical support and a staff who truly loves and cares for them. Some girls eventually begin working new jobs outside the house while finishing up the Pivot program before they move out and live completely on their own.
How long do girls live in a Pivot House?
The length varies for each girl and her unique situation.
What does it mean for Pivot to "Reach" a girl?
Our team reaches girls in a variety of ways. It is sometimes via street outreach, sometimes via renting them from brothels, and other times as referrals from government agencies and other foundations which do not have their own safe houses.
Is this type of work dangerous?
It’s not as dangerous as Hollywood movies portray it but it’s spiritually darker than Hollywood would know how to portray this work. Our Pivot team has top tier security advisors and sometimes we hire a local armed security guy for select ops.
How much does it cost to run a Pivot House?
Our international Pivot Houses cost approx 10k to get the house set up and then between 7-10k per month to run the house ongoing.
What does the phrase "Faith & Valor" mean as it relates to Pivot?
We believe the truth of Revelation 2:10 which reads; “Be Faithful unto death.” We also believe the truth of Proverbs 28:1 which reads; “The righteous are as bold as a lion.” It requires both faith and valor for our Pivot team to successfully carry out our mission and it also requires faith and valor for the girls who we are helping to move towards freedom.
What's the ultimate goal of Pivot?
We want to reach as many girls as possible who are entangled in sex-trafficking and prostitution and help to pivot them towards freedom!
